Neben den Nominierungen zum Kurd-Laßwitz-Preis wurde „Weltenportal“ eine weitere Ehre zuteil: Unser Magazin wird als deutscher in der Kategorie „Best Fanzine (amateur publication)“ bei den ESFS Awards ins Rennen geschickt. Zur Begründung:

„Ambitious, independently published genre magazine that focuses on authors from German-speaking countries. The equal mix of short stories from all speculative genres, accompanied by illustrations, and the presentation of current new releases and artists is appealingly executed. Great selection, superb structure, professionally laid out and already quite consistent! Die Awards werden am 5. Juli 2026 auf dem MetropolCon Berlin, der dieses Jahr zugleich Eurocon ist, verliehen. Wir warten gespannt das Urteil der Jury ab.
